Ski Trip Ruapehu

⛷Our ski trip is our biggest event of the year, happening in the first week of mid-semester break! We will have a four day, three night stay at the A-Frame Alpine Sports Club Lodge right on the slopes, with a great view of the ski field!

Journey:

On Sunday Sept 1st we will leave Auckland at 9am for Ruapehu. Because it’s a 5 hour drive, we will stop along the way at scenic spots and also pick up lunch and any extra snacks / beverages for the four days. We recommend stocking up on everything you need before we arrive at the accommodation; as cafes and restaurants on the mountain are quite expensive!

Skiing / Snowboarding:

We will provide you with a 1 day all mountain pass + gear rentals for either skiing or snowboarding. We have the opportunity to ski Monday - Wednesday depending on weather!

Food:

Breakfast, dinner and snacks will be provided for the 4 days. Breakfast will be provided Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and dinner provided for the 3 nights; Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the lodge.

Accommodation:

Alpine Sports Club A-Frame Lodge is just past the cafe at the top car park. A-Frame has a great view over the ski field with great cooking facilities. To get there requires a 10 minute hike from the top car park, as it is on the slopes! The sleeping arrangements are 2 sets of bunk beds, 4 beds per room. As with most ski lodges, the custodian living at the lodge will assign everyone cleaning and cooking responsibilities on the days.

Cost:

$385, all inclusive of 1 day ski pass - SASS members only

$260, non inclusive of ski pass; for those with day / multi / seasons pass. SASS members only
