Join SASS in one of Auckland’s most quaint and vibrant neighbourhoods for a relaxed and convivial evening by the seaside.

Our subsidised, member-only price of $35 includes a three-course dinner at local Italian restaurant Portofino Devonport, as well as a picturesque two-way ferry journey across the Waitemata Harbour from Auckland CBD.

Before dinner, stroll around the village-like streets to look at some of Devonport’s lovingly restored villas, a cornerstone of New Zealand residential architecture in the Victorian period.

We will also walk up North Head, where we will explore the system of military tunnels formerly used for coastal defence of Auckland.

If weather is good, you can also expect a beautiful sunset as you watch the colours descend over the Harbour Bridge and Sky Tower. And, as mentioned, all of this will be topped off with a three-course Italian dinner!
